About Dr. Tabassum Samad

Dr. Tabassum Samad completed her MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College. Afterward, she obtained FCPS in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). She completed her training at BIRDEM, BSMMU and Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Dr. Tabassum served at BIRDEM General Hospital as a medicine specialist and nephrologist and managed diabetic patients with kidney problems and other medical conditions for more than 20 years. She is highly skilled in general and intervention nephrology with an interest in managing diabetic kidney disease (DKD), glomerulonephritis, acute kidney injury (AKI), urinary tract infection (UTI), peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and kidney transplant patients. She has expertise in renal biopsy and a special interest in CAPD catheter insertion. She has been involved with kidney transplants with experience in post-transplant follow-up.
